Trade Finance Officer

Job Specification:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree in related field preferred

Experience: Proven experience in trade finance, banking, or international trade.

Skills:

Strong understanding of trade regulations (UCP 600, Incoterms).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.

Job Responsibilities :

• Prepare and manage trade documentation, including Letters of Credit (LCs) and bank guarantees (BG), ensuring compliance with Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) guidelines and international standards.
• Coordinate with banks for trade finance services, including LC negotiations and pre/post-shipment financing.
• Ensure adherence to local and international trade regulations, including foreign exchange laws.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to payment defaults, foreign exchange, and trade policies.
• Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs, and internal teams for seamless trade execution.
• Prepare reports on trade finance activities and recommend strategies for efficiency and cost optimization.
