  • Required Education : Bachelor
  • Expected Faculty : Business Administration, Business Studies, or related field

Job Specification:

Minimum Requirements:

  1. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university in Business Administration, Business Studies, or related field plus a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar context is required.
  2. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements.

Most Critical Proficiencies:

 

  1. Practical experience in various aspects of accounting principles and practices with a good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  2. Practical knowledge of Nepal Government Public Procurement Act and Regulations
  3. Basic understanding and sensitivity to issues associated with poverty, hunger and the environment.
  4. Strong skills in budgeting and reporting, and the ability to analyze and interpret financial reports.
  5. Computer proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, electronic mail and internet (Microsoft preferred)
  6. Proficient in English & Nepali language, both spoken and written.

Job Responsibilities :

Major Roles and Responsibility:

The Finance Officer will assist with financial and accounting aspects of the country’s program office and ensure Nepal’s project partners are in compliant with the established policies, procedures and the country’s law. The Finance Officer will be responsible for the maintenance of grant compliance, financial management, budgeting, accounting, payments, strengthening the internal control system and partner capacity building. Similarly, the position will provide necessary support for the administration and logistics functions in the regional office. This position requires extensive travel.
